Ecotourism Management Learn about marine life and ecotourism with ACS Distance Education Ecotourism Management is a 9 lesson module which considers what ecotourism is and what considerations need to be viewed in terms of the impact of recreation on the environment. Students will learn about the relevant legal, as well as ethical, issues and the codes of practice pertinent to the management of an ecotourism operation. As well as the scope of ecotourism, builds upon the basic elements by looking at the types of destinations that ecotourists want, and the practicalities of managing a tour desk and determining suitable accommodation and catering facilities. In addition to the legal elements that need to be incorporated (e.g. in destinations such as national parks), the module considers other important elements such safety strategies and risk planning.
